Institutional transformation cannot take place without the development and continual improvement of a college’s leadership. The expectations we have of our leaders are different from past expectations; priorities must shift to accountability and improving student success.
AACC’s competencies for Community College Leaders serves as the foundation for developing curriculum for grow-your-own and community college leadership doctoral programs. As we re-imagine the 21st century community college, we believe it is imperative that we recalibrate the skills necessary to implement this radical change in restructuring community colleges to be more fluid and responsive.
