El Paso Community College (Texas). The strong partnership between El Paso Community College and the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) features an automatic reverse-transfer system. Students who transfer to UTEP with at least 25% of an associate degree completed are tracked and then notified when they have earned enough credit to be awarded an associate degree.

Project Win-Win. Sixty-four institutions authorized to award associate degrees participate in Project Win-Win. The institutions identify former students, no longer enrolled anywhere and never awarded any degree, whose records qualify them for an associate degree, and get those degrees awarded retroactively. These institutions also identify former students who are short of an associate degree by no more than nine to 12 credits, locate them, and seek to bring them back to complete the degree.
