The Call for Proposals is open for the 2020 AACC Annual Convention.

Is your college doing something unique and promising to increase student success, close the skills gap, or improve the classroom experience? Submit a session proposal for consideration for the 2020 AACC Annual Convention agenda.

The 2020 convention will be held March 28-30 at National Harbor, Md and will celebrate AACC’s 100th birthday. The agenda will feature both traditional, 50- and 30-minute lecture-type sessions and interactive sessions, which include the Soapbox, providing the speaker a platform for his/her idea, 10-minute Lightning Talks and Storytelling sessions that invite speakers to tell stories that help illustrate or enhance themes in the conference tracks.

More than 250 sessions will be organized into four mini-conventions. Faculty, mid-managers, senior administrators and CEOs will all have their own space to engage with and learn from their peers.

The call for proposals includes the following topical areas:

  • 21st-century workforce
  • Closing achievement gaps
  • Collaboration
  • Innovative technology
  • Institutional transformation
  • Policy and research
  • Student success and completion
  • Teaching and learning

Proposals must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. (ET) on October 29. Convention registration and lodging will open September 6 at 12:00 p.m. (ET).
